Bank Mawr Trust Institutes Men’s and Women’s Health Initiative, Raising Awareness and Funds to Fight a Variety Health Issues

Bryn Mawr, Pa., October 27, 2015 – Bryn Mawr Bank Corporation (NASDAQ: Bryn Mawr TrustC), (the “Corporation”), parent of The Bryn Mawr Trust Company (the “Bank”), today announced the establishment of the Men’s and Women’s Health Initiative. This will be an on-going initiative that will target the critical health issues that both men and women are facing today. Our goal is to raise money to help fight disease, but just as important to raise awareness among our employee base about health issues, promote preventative health services and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

The Health Initiative was inspired by the Corporation’s successful third quarter initiative, Casual for a Cause that allowed employees who contributed to the fund raiser to dress casually every Friday during the third quarter. Approximately $5,000.00 was raised for the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation during the Casual for a Cause campaign.

“We originally thought Casual for a Cause would be a one-time thing, but we received such positive feedback about the campaign it was only logical that we look for a way to expand this win-win program. This fall, we will participate in the Movember campaign that is designed to bring awareness to men’s health issues specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Movember is a great way for our team to become involved and offer support in the fight against these deadly diseases”, said Frank Leto, President and CEO.

Employees participating in Movember will grow a mustache and/or beard for the month of November. The Bryn Mawr Trust Health Initiative Committee is planning a series of other health initiatives throughout 2016.
