A Choice of Models

Bryn Mawr Trust’s national charter allows us to work with financial advisors in most states. We offer Clients and financial advisors the option of three trust models: Traditional, Delegated or Directed Trusts.

Our role in the traditional trust model includes:

Our role in the delegated trust model includes:

  • Selection and delegation of asset management to an investment advisor
  • Proactive monitoring of the advisor’s performance according to the requirements of the trust document, relevant law, and relative to industry standards

Our role in the directed trust model includes:

  • Following the direction of the investment advisor regarding decisions, investments & distributions
  • Following the provisions of the trust document and the direction of whomever the trust document appoints to direct the trustee’s actions
